Who we are
The Master Builder Center (MBC) was founded by Rev. Dr. Tilahun Mendedo in 2008 alongside a dedicated group of God-loving and mission-minded individuals to address serious needs of the people of Ethiopia.
MBC’s initial outreach is “Feeding His Lambs,” a program to integrate children into their larger family groups.

Master Builder Center is dedicated to providing spiritual, educational, emotional, moral, financial, and skill development support to less fortunate families. Our goal is to empower them to discover and cultivate their unique gifts—spiritually, mentally, creatively, and physically—for the glory of God and the betterment of their communities.

Our Ministries
It is estimated there are more than 4.5 million orphans in Ethiopia. Because of extreme poverty, many loving families are unable to open their homes to orphan children.
Master Builder Center places orphan children with their extended family or friends and then provides financial assistance to help pay for food and clothing.
Food and clothing are not the only needs of the Lord’s lambs. Master Builder Center supports educations from kindergarten through college.
We have partnered with colleges in Ethiopia to provide education in entrepreneurship, finance, and the sciences.
Graduates will become self-sufficient – ready to lead in the church, their communities, and the country of Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus is the fastest growing Lutheran Church in the world. It is vital to raise up the next generation of pastors – shepherding the Lord’s sheep.
Master Builder Center provides financial assistance for seminarians to stay in school and serve the church.
Master Builder Center partners with local churches in their evangelistic efforts to reach more people with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. We provide financial support to help them open new preaching stations in different regions to share the Good News.
African Internet Radio Ministry
AIRM ministers in partnership with Scripture Alone Podcast Ministry in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which is known for confessing Christ through preaching and teaching.

Parish Nurses
In Ethiopia, healthcare access remains a significant challenge, particularly for the poor and those living in rural areas, where over 78% of the population resides. Although the government manages most hospitals and health centers, there is a shortage of medical professionals, with less than one doctor per 10,000 people, and limited access to essential medicines. The Parish Nurse Ministry seeks to empower the Church to serve as a vital link between underserved communities and the healthcare services they urgently need through training nurses in the parish, providing medical supplies, providing medical mission trips, wellness, and physical education.
